RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a standard way to distribute regularly
updated content like news, Blogs, photos and music.
Each "feed" provides updates for a certain content source, and can be
used in News Readers (also known as "Aggregators") and Blogs.
RSS feeds can include updates from a broad overview right down to a very
detailed level. Subscribing to an RSS feed gives you customized,
automatically updated information and media without having to keep
checking the same sites for updates.
|
For example, if you subscribe to your friends' Slideshow updates, you will
automatically be notified when they upload new photos. Similarly you
can keep up-to-date with new music, Blog posts, Faves, or anything else
on Faces.com
To get started, either click the
button to subscribe via a popular Newsreader/Aggregator, or click the
button to view the actual RSS feed.
You can then copy-and-paste the location of this RSS feed from the browser
address bar into another application that can handle RSS.
